Meet our partners: TEMERON

Within Work Package 2, TEMERON leads two of the platform’s core components and delivers its final product.

Risk Management Toolbox  –  a risk engine correlating cyber threat intelligence, vulnerability data and behavioural analytics into sector-aware risk scores for critical-infrastructure operators.

Threat & Risk Visualization Dashboard  –  turns those assessments into clear, actionable views for the analysts and operators who rely on them.

Final, market-ready product  –  responsible for delivering the final release of CIPHER’s Cyber-Risk and Threat Assessment product.

Beyond these, TEMERON contributes to threat-intelligence ingestion, automated vulnerability assessment, AI-driven threat classification, and integration into the unified CIPHER platform and its portal — helping essential-service providers in water, logistics and telecommunications move from static, after-the-fact reporting toward continuous, intelligence-driven risk management.

Meet the faces behind the project

  • Dan Fanu is Chief Executive Officer. He leads TEMERON’s contribution to CIPHER and is the company’s senior point of contact within the consortium, overseeing TEMERON’s involvement across the project as a whole. His career spans more than two decades across software engineering and technology management, and at TEMERON he sets the technical strategy, shapes the risk-management approach and steers delivery across the consortium. He also brings hands-on experience with the EU regulatory frameworks – from the AI Act and trustworthy-AI compliance to the handling of sensitive data – that increasingly shape how Europe’s critical infrastructure is secured.
  • Dr. Iulia Daraban is Head of R&D Digital Marketing Manager. Within CIPHER, Iulia supports project management and leads TEMERON’s dissemination, communication and stakeholder-engagement activities, helping connect the project’s technical results with the wider community of essential-service providers, researchers and policymakers. She brings hands-on experience from European-funded initiatives as well as years of telecom experience, holds a PhD, and combines a background in biotechnology with domain knowledge in IT and telecommunications. as a Project Manager at F6S. She provides essential back-end support for the Open Call management process, ensuring that the administrative and application workflows remain efficient. Her role is fundamental in preparing the call documentation kits, coordinating with independent evaluators, and monitoring the technical progress of funded entities to facilitate a smooth integration with the CIPHER testing facility.

  • Mihai Nuica is Systems Engineer. Mihai is a primary engineer on the Risk Management Toolbox, responsible for designing and developing its components. His work also reaches across TEMERON’s technical contributions throughout the project – from incident detection and response and the cyber range to the integration of CIPHER’s tools into a single, unified platform. A versatile full-stack developer, he works across the front-end and back-end and brings strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, agile delivery and building scalable, cloud-based applications. He is an alumnus of the University of Southampton.
